So what is it? The Spring Wellness Clinic is a chance for you to bring your pet(s) into the Wolf River Veterinary Clinic for Heartworm testing and Lyme Disease vaccinations. This is a chance for a free office call and the same great care. Heartworm disease may cause many medical problems in your pet , including dysfunction of the lungs, heart, liver and kidneys. The heart and lungs are the major organs affected by heartworms in dogs. Dogs that are not very active may have Heartworm disease, but never show any signs. Dogs 6-months of age and older should be tested for heartworm disease. Most dogs infected with heartworm can be successfully treated. We do encourage that pet owners keep their pet on preventatives year round. We hope to see you at our Spring Wellness Clinic.
